Background

As program coordinator, I serve as the primary point of contact for introductory service programs as well as oversee publicity, communication, and social media for the Center for Civic Engagement.

In my role I organize and implement various campus-wide events, including the Orientation Community Project, Celebration of Service, and Summer Service Odyssey, to name a few. I also advise several student-based service organizations as well as coordinate our semi-annual granting processes. These responsibilities allow me to work closely with Davidson students to promote a civically active lifestyle.

Originally from Georgia, I have lived in North Carolina for over 12 years. I received my Bachelors of Science in Journalism and Mass Media from Wingate University. As an undergraduate student I quickly found a passion with community involvement and active citizenship. I enjoy that my role allows me to use the skills I gained in the classroom and apply them to my passion of higher education and civic engagement.

I am humbled to work with such a passionate and driven team to better serve Davidson students as we create positive, community-driven change.
