Flu shots are available to students at the Student Health Center on a walk-in basis Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. The $20 charge will be placed on your tuition bill or filed with the school health insurance if you have elected that coverage. The health center staff will also be administering the vaccine in the Student Union Atrium on Wednesday, Oct. 23 and Thursday, Oct. 31 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
All students who are currently enrolled full-time are eligible for health services. Routine health care for most health issues from sinus infections to pap smears can be obtained at the Student Health Center. Outpatient visits with the nurse or the physician at the center are free of charge. The cost of in-house laboratory tests, supplies and certain medications are billed directly to the student's account through the Controller's Office. The college does not participate with private insurance plans. However, upon request, a student may be given a claim form to submit to private insurance for reimbursement.
In addition to regular wellness check-ups and sick visits, the Student Health Center provides:
