It has been a great couple of years for Delta Kappa, receiving awards from both the fraternity headquarters and from Davidson
College. At the 150th
Anniversary Ekklesia in Pittsburgh, we received the John Templeton McCarty Chapter Proficiency Award
for the 1997-98 academic year, the third year in a row in
which we achieved this honor, recognizing efficiency in operations, adherence
to Fraternity Laws, and promotion of the high standards of Phi Gamma Delta.
We also walked away from the Ekklesia with the
Certificate of Academic Achievement for 1997. On a more local scale, we received the Patterson Court
Council Academic Award
from the college, recognizing our consistently high chapter GPA as well as our efforts at maintaining academic excellence. These
awards demonstrate the character and dedication of our undergraduate and graduate brothers, and foretell of an even greater
future.
