Erik is a senior psychology major, specializing in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. I/O psych is basically the psychology
of the workplace,
and can be considered the science behind the field of consulting. Appropriately, Erik is searching for a job in
the consulting industry, preferrably a
small or mid-size company, although at this point in the game he's willing to work just about
anywhere. Erik is currently the Corresponding Secretary and Graduate Relations Chairman (and hence, being in charge of this newsletter, is writing about himself in the third person right now). Erik has also recently taken on the job of Pledge Educator in an effort to make ties with the underclassman that will make for more enjoyable and frequent trips back to the chapter after graduation. Last year he served the chapter as President, and as a sophomore he was a co-social chair with John Potter. He was born in Atlanta and lived there until he came to Davidson. Having spent may winters at his grandmother's house in Brooklyn, he greatly desires to move north after graduation, having fallen in love with the region. Unfortunately, his future has been put on hold do to a partially torn ACL as well as two tears in the cartiledge in his knee, requing surgery in May with an eight-week recovery period, and he will therefore be mostly incapacitated and living with his parents again. (Incidentally, if you're in Atlanta this summer, be sure to drop by and say hello!). |
