Walt Update: Conehead Buddha

Though one would have to search hard to find the punk influence of this New York based ska band, Conehead Buddha's latest album does "kick ya in your ass and make ya dance and prance and shake the ground." Their fifth album entitled, Rockets, has enough energy to make even the most uncoordinated wallflower dance. By combining fun lyrics with hummable melodies, Conehead Buddha has created twelve enjoyable tracks. The album falls between the extremes of "Mattress Mambo" with its Latin overtones and 100% ska song "My Way". No two tracks are alike, and each is worthy of their own individual praise.
