Hot enough for ya?

The Index has just become aware of Davidson's induction into the 2003 Kaplan/Newsweek list of a dozen "hot colleges" a month after its initial publication. According to the Kap, Davidson's "hot qualities" include strong academics, fun campus life, an excellent sports program, and a small-town atmosphere. Noticeably absent is any mention of the Index's hot, hot ass.

Out on the lawn

The Index applauds the Gay-Straight Alliance for presenting The Laramie Project on Belk lawn. RLO has apparently caught the fever and will be showing that other grand depiction of the struggle against homophobia and prejudice, American Pie 2.

I swear there's no pun about alcohol in here

Much gratitude to the Davidson Town Police for continuing to go way beyond in the call of duty. Valiantly keeping the public interest in mind, the Index could not feel more secure knowing our boys in blue are out there protecting us from Vamonos Van patrons. If these no-goodniks continue to pervert the wholesome, hooch-free reputation Davidson College, then they can do without a school-sponsored designated driver.
