The Office of Alumni and Family Engagement (AFE) encourages alumni to stay connected and support one another as we face the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic.

We hope this collection of resources will serve as a source of connection, information and entertainment as we all practice physical distancing during this difficult time.

The AFE team is currently working remotely and we’d love to hear from you, so please be in touch.

An Update on Virtual Trivia

In light of current events, we have decided to postpone trivia. Instead, we hope you were able to join us for a live-streamed conversation with President Carol E. Quillen and The Hon. Anthony Foxx ’93. If you were unable to join the event live, we hope you can watch the recording.

The college community remains a source of energy and support despite this time of social distancing. We've had to adapt to new ways of maintaining connections, providing programming and strengthening relationships, and want to share all the ways we are committed to staying #DAVIDSONTRUE.

Unsung Heroes

Matt King '99
Matt is a critical care physician and is serving as the lead COVID doctor at Sumner Regional Medical Center, Gallatin, TN, a 150-bed community hospital just outside Nashville. In preparation for COVID, Matt and his team turned a previously unused wing of the hospital into a COVID isolation unit. This choice turned out to be life-saving as his hospital would have been overwhelmed otherwise.
