Dr. Peter Alford ’75 has studied the interaction of various sleep disorders and pain, and the adjuvant or novel treatments of both, including CBD and other cannabinoids. This class will review the history of cannabis use dating back 5,000 years, while emphasizing the last 45 or 50 years of a medicinal herb. Cannabis became a major recreational drug in our lifetimes through precise cultivation and genetic manipulation and now has come full circle to become a modern treatment option for several different diseases.

Salsa 101 with Rumbao!

Join Jennifer Geyer '09 and Eduardo Diaz from Rumbao Latin Dance Company for a fun lesson introducing the basic steps to Salsa. In this class, you will learn five figures (a combination of dance steps) and you will also work on timing (understanding the Afro-Latin rhythms in Salsa music). All participants in the class will receive a video summary of all figures and timing tips so you can practice your moves after class as well as access to a playlist of music. Get ready for an entertaining and educational virtual experience!

Davidson Head Men's Basketball Coach Bob McKillop will join Jerry Kroll and Doug Cook, members of the Great Class of 1970 who helped take the 'Cats to the Elite Eight in both 1968 and 1969, to discuss how Davidson Basketball has evolved over the years. Jamie May ’70 will host the discussion to cover changes in recruiting, competition and all things basketball. This is sure to be a highly entertaining event as Davidson Basketball greats share their stories and perspectives.
