Watson Fellows Reunion

Online registration for the Watson Fellows Reunion has closed. If you would like to attend, call the Events Office at 704-894-2448.

On Friday evening, March 16, and Saturday, March 17, 2018, we'll welcome former Davidson Watson Fellows back to campus to celebrate 50 years of the Watson Fellowship at Davidson.

Think back to your Watson wanderjahr. Where was the weirdest place you slept? What was the dumbest thing you did all year? When did you feel most lonely? How did you explain to people you met what the Watson Fellowship really was? All of us have a bunch of stories to tell based on our adventures. We also probably grew in unexpected ways that might be harder to share with others–unless those others were also Watson Fellows! Hansford Epes, Tom Shandley and the new Dean of Students Byron McCrae will join us, as well as the 2018 Watson Fellows who will be selected two days prior to the reunion.

View the schedule to see what we have planned.

Request for Photos

We are collecting photographs from alumni Watson Fellows in advance of the reunion with the aim of sharing them at the reunion. Take a walk down memory lane in the coming months and send your best photos from your wanderjahr to Malcolm Campbell '84 at He will give you access to a Dropbox folder if needed.

Reunion T-Shirts

T-shirts commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Watson at Davidson are now available. They include names of all past Davidson Watson fellows. Purchase yours here whether or not you can attend the reunion. From 4-4:45 p.m. on Saturday, Malcolm Campbell will facilitate a group t-shirt order that will allow for a slight discount for reunion attendees.
