Open containers are not permitted outdoors on campus. Campus Police will enforce this policy throughout the weekend.

Make plans to gather with classmates while you are in town on the days leading up to or after the celebration. Use our list of local businesses to coordinate where and when to meet up!

Wells Fargo, BB&T and Fifth Third Bank ATMs are available on the third floor of the Alvarez College Union. Wells Fargo, BB&T, Fifth Third and Bank of America ATMs are available on Main Street in downtown Davidson.

Attire for the weekend is usually casual. You are welcome to come “dressy casual” for the Saturday evening dinner, but it is not a requirement. The next question is usually, "What is dressy casual?" There are a mix of khakis or nice slacks, golf/button-down shirts or blouses and simple dresses to the dinner—anything goes. It can be cold or warm in the buildings, depending on the weather, so consider bringing layers. Check the weather forecast as the weekend approaches.

A list of Davidson community members who have expressed interest in serving as babysitters is available to alums interested in hiring a babysitter during the BSC 50+ Celebration Weekend. All questions regarding scheduling, availability and payment should be made directly with the babysitter. Please note the college is providing this list as a convenience for alums and has not vetted these babysitters. The college does not provide training or supervision of the babysitters, nor has it performed background checks or confirmed the vaccination status on the babysitters listed.

The caterers will do their best to accommodate individuals with special dietary restrictions at all events. 

Parking for the weekend is available throughout campus. There are several large events taking place, and attendees are allowed to park in any available space. Suggested lots include: Admission and Cunningham Theatre Center.  Nearby accessible parking spaces  are available near the Alvarez College Union. View the campus map to explore all options.

Davidson tries to keep event costs to a minimum while offering a wide range of quality activities.
