"Why am I excited? For me it’s pretty easy. Davidson transformed my life, and a large part of that transformation can be attributed to the extraordinary group of people with whom I had the privilege to spend those four years. If I can do even just a little to make the gathering of our class more meaningful, more enjoyable and/or more memorable I am thrilled to do so." - Dave Pottenger '79
"As for helping with our reunion, Davidson was life-shaping for me, and I want other young people to have that same opportunity. I’m closing out my college teaching career and recently found a notebook from Davidson days, my own college scribblings on materials I’ve been teaching for 35 years. I’m privately embarrassed by the shallowness of some things I wrote then; but Davidson professors, some of whom became mentors, allowed for that—they even encouraged it, they gave me room to grow. And I did grow—intellectually, emotionally, spiritually—in all the ways that have shaped my whole life. And along the way my closest friendships were also forged at Davidson. Which brings me to our reunions. Because of my particular career paths, I cannot give back financially as much as I would like, so I’m grateful for these opportunities to give anything I can to help the college flourish, to keep cultivating human instincts and shaping lives of leadership and service." - Brad Christie '79
"Who would not want to work with Brad and Dave on our 45th reunion. They are the best. Davidson College is such a special place to all of us and we all have our own individual memories that draw us back. I remember from our 40th reunion being blown away by the new science center and wishing I could come back Andrew take my chemistry classes again. Class reunions are so much fun to prepare for and then attend. It is great to see all the people who attend but by being a part of the planning team you get to interact with people who might not be able to make it. I look forward to seeing you all soon." - Ashton "T" Griffin '79
