Quips & Cranks

As a part of our 50th Reunion celebration, a Class of 1971 Quips and Cranks Yearbook: 50th Anniversary Edition will be published. An April email from Meno Publishing was sent asking classmates to complete a questionnaire regarding personal information to be included on their page in the booklet. All classmates, regardless if they are able to attend Reunion 2021, are encouraged to submit their online questionnaire by the EXTENDED DEADLINE OF JULY 14 and upload up to three personal pictures all for inclusion in the booklet. The email from Meno Publishing was sent to each classmate with a personal "sign in" link and classmates are asked to not share that link. If classmates did not receive the email please check the "junk" mailbox and/or contact Mark Harding with Meno Publishing at mark@meno-recollections.com or Judith Rowles (jurowles@davidson.edu), Associate Director of Alumni and Family Engagement or Teddie Chastain (techastain@davidson.edu), Associate Director of the Fund for Davidson. Additionally, if a classmate feels for any reason Davidson does not have an up-to-date email address, please contact reunion@davidson.edu to be added to the system.

An online version will also be published for all to see. Hard copies will be distributed to classmates at a later date. Only information submitted by classmates will be included.

Many thanks to Keith Onsdorff, Charlie Ralston and Ed Shoaf taking the lead on this project.

As an example, and to encourage submissions, please check out the Class of 1970 Quips and Cranks: 50th Anniversary Edition. Use password "Davidson_C70".

Relive our college memories and put names with faces by reviewing the Quips and Cranks from your time at Davidson through the Davidson College online library archives.

Connect with Classmates

Be sure to join the Class of 1971 group in Davidson Connect, a networking portal launched in May 2020. This resource is designed to connect our community by bringing together multiple platforms into one hub where students and alumni around the world can connect. Sign in to the system to find an alumni mentor, view jobs and internships, build relationships with others who share your same identities or areas of interest, and connect with fellow students and alumni in your industry.

Class Gift

Your reunion gift volunteers have set a challenging but achievable goal for your Reunion Class Gift— 70% of the Class of 1971. All gifts and multi-year commitments made during the reunion year (which ends on June 30, 2021) count towards the class gift in addition to all documented planned gifts.

Have questions about reunion giving? Want to see where your class currently stacks up against the other reunion classes? Please visit the Reunion Giving page for more information.

Ready to make a gift today? Please visit our online gift form or call The Fund for Davidson office at (704) 894-2680.
