Personal Statement

It is an honor and privilege to serve Davidson from which I have gained so much.  What I value most about this opportunity is the chance to see, celebrate and contribute to our alma mater as it evolves to match the complexities of our society.  Working alongside the exceptional College staff and the other board members is the most recent way that Davidson has continued to deepen my knowledge and understanding of what it takes to lead a life of leadership and service.

While a Davidson student, I recognized the ways in which my classes, professors, classmates and friends were stretching me, building my knowledge and shaping my ability to think and to assess ideas and current events.  What I have come to appreciate in the years since then is the deep and enduring influence that Davidson has on me.  Stewardship has guided my life choices, and my integrity is reinforced by four years in a community rooted in the Honor Code.

I offer my strong work ethic, firm commitment and dedicated energy to contribute to ensuring that future generations of Davidsonians get as much from this institution as I have.
