Humanities Program Presents Kristen Thompson: From Observation to Theory: Revolution in Science

Our very own Professor Kristen Thompson will continue the 2018-19 Humanities Program's public lecture series with her lecture: “From Observation to Theory:  Revolution in Science.”

With this lecture she will begin the Humanities course's second unit, directed by Professor Dave Robb, which focuses on the Copernican Revolution (we're reading Thomas Kuhn's book on that), but also looks at how science and the humanities interact and co-exist.

“Connections and Conflicts in the Humanities: Revolution” is a team-taught course for first-year students at Davidson. The course includes plenary lectures by current faculty and others. These lectures are free and open to the public.
