Posting Materials to Moodle

You may place books, DVDs, videos, CDs, etc. on physical reserve with a link to that reserve list in Moodle. You may also post sound and video clips in Moodle. We are happy to assist you.

Lists are processed in the order received. At the beginning of the semester, allow a minimum of one week to process. Late lists may not be ready when classes begin.

To help students find materials easily, please give call numbers for library items on reserve and note which items are on electronic reserve on your syllabi.

We have an Annual Copyright License with the Copyright Clearance Center. Please follow the procedures below to confirm and secure copyright compliance for materials posted in Moodle.

PHYSICAL ITEMS: Books, DVDs, Videos, CDs, etc.

Please submit our Print and Media Reserves Form (Word).

For more details, see Submit Book, CD, DVD Reserve Requests.

When posting materials, please make sure that your use of copyrighted material is in compliance with copyright law and college policy. Please see the library's guidelines and step-by-step instructions for posting materials to Moodle for help and more information.

Sound clips or video clips must come from items held in the library or owned by the faculty member.

For sound clips, see Submit Sound Clips for Moodle.

Davidson College has access to over 200,000 streaming video resources. More information is available on our video research guide.

For video clips, see Submit Video Clips for Moodle.
