Artwork by alumna Park McArthur '06 has been selected for exhibition in the 2017 Whitney Biennial -- McArthur is among 63 artists featured in the show. The show will be on exhibit at the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York March 17 through June 11. The themes of the exhibition are the formation of self and the individual's place in a turbulent society. For her 2014 exhibition, titled Ramp, McArthur garnered the Wynn Newhouse Award, an annual prize given to disabled artists. The exhibition depicted the wheelchair ramps of institutions with which she had worked.

McArthur earned a master's degree in fine art from the University of Miami in 2009, and was enrolled in the Whitney's Independent Study Program in 2011-2012. She is represented by Essex Street Gallery in New York City.
