Kristen Eshleman, director of digital learning research & design and director of academic technology, has been nominated for the Charlotte Business Journal's 4th annual Chief Information Officer (CIO) of the Year Award. The award recognizes leadership that uses information technology in innovative ways to optimize business processes, enable growth, create competitive advantages and improve customer experience. Nominees come from a variety of industries with Eshleman being one of three candidates working in education. She is the only nominee with a career in higher education.
Winners will be announced at a luncheon on Wednesday, Aug. 17.
