While the trick-taking card game of bridge is generally considered popular among seniors, some people might be surprised to learn that there is a youth constituency playing the game. Allison Hunt '18 started a bridge club at her high school and has been named the Queen of Bridge by the American Contract Bridge League.
Each year the league names a graduating high school senior queen or king in recognition of their bridge-playing skills and contributions to the bridge-playing community. Recipients are awarded a $1,000 scholarship. Hunt is the fourth female to be crowned Queen of Bridge in the prize's 42-year history.
