Brashier '12 Awarded National Science Foundation Graduate Fellowship

Nadia Brashier '12 was named a National Science Foundation Graduate Fellowship awardee.

NSF's web site states that, "The GRFP provides three years of support for the graduate education of individuals who have demonstrated their potential for significant achievements in science and engineering research. The ranks of NSF Fellows include numerous individuals who have made transformative breakthroughs in science and engineering research, many who have become leaders in their chosen careers, and some who have been honored as Nobel laureates."

Most winners of an NSF Graduate Fellowship are already in graduate school, making Nadia's award all the more impressive. Nadia will use the fellowship to support her Ph.D. work at Duke University where she will focus on the cognitive neuroscience of aging.
