Teaching with iPads and other emerging technologies – Call for Fall 2014 Proposals

Information Technology Services (ITS) and the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) will continue the Teaching with iPads initiative in fall 2014 for faculty interested in investigating the pedagogical benefits of mobile technologies in teaching and learning. We welcome proposals that articulate a vision of how using iPads might enhance a course that you will be teaching. For the selected proposals, we will provide an iPad 2 for the instructor and for each student to keep for the duration of the course.

Additionally, next semester ITS will make available some new technologies for investigative use in courses - the Parrot AR.Drone 2.0, Looxcie wearable camera, GoPro wearable camera, and a small number of Microsoft Surface Pros. Because we have limited numbers of each of these experimental technologies, faculty members might not have exclusive use throughout the semester.

To participate, please complete either the iPad Proposal Form (PDF) or the Technology in Courses Proposal Form (PDF) and return it to Rachel Stewart by March 28.
