Fellowships and Scholarships Program
Davidson’s Fellowships and Scholarships Program connects students and recent alumni to prestigious and world-renowned fellowships and scholarships, including the Fulbright U.S. Student Program, Thomas J. Watson Fellowship, Rhodes Scholarship and more.
The program approaches each application process as a learning opportunity with the potential to be a formative experience, helping candidates articulate their strengths, refine their goals and envision their lives of leadership and service.
Advising & Assistance
We offer comprehensive support, including one-on-one advising, group information sessions, mock interviews and other resources. Students are encouraged to begin exploring fellowships and scholarships early in their first or second year at Davidson. Interested candidates (including students and alumni) are invited to contact Gaylena Merritt, Assistant Director for Fellowships & Scholarships, or to schedule a Fellowships & Scholarships advising appointment in Handshake (login required).
Fellowship & Scholarship Opportunities
The fellowships and scholarships below are those we most often work with, but this list is not comprehensive. You cannot apply directly for many of these opportunities, but must first apply to Davidson College to be considered for institutional endorsement. These awards are competitive, and we encourage you to consult with Davidson’s Fellowships & Scholarships Program for guidance even if endorsement is not required. Review each award page for information about general eligibility, timing and requirements.
To learn more about fellowship programs focused on service and professional development, visit the Fellowships & Service Corps resource in Handshake (login required). International students are encouraged to review the Graduate Fellowships & Scholarships for International Students resource in Handshake (login required).
