Cancer Insurance Will Not Be Offered for 2022 Benefits Year, Critical Illness to be Offered as Replacement
As of Dec. 31, 2021, Colonial Life will no longer be available for cancer coverage. In the 2022 benefits year, Davidson will offer Critical Illness benefits through Voya in place of cancer insurance. The information found on this page should only be consulted in reference to coverage for the 2021 benefits year.
If you are currently enrolled in the Colonial Life Cancer Plan and would like to convert this into individual coverage, please contact Rene Baker (email@example.com) for more information.
The Voluntary Cancer Insurance benefit is designed to complement Davidson's health plans by helping employees with the indirect costs associated with a cancer diagnosis.
The benefit is paid directly to the employee and not in coordination with your health insurance. If an employee elects this voluntary insurance, when any insured family member is diagnosed with any type of internal cancer, and submits acceptable proof of diagnosis, payment is made directly to the employee.
