The Voluntary Cancer Insurance benefit is designed to complement Davidson's health plans by helping employees with the indirect costs associated with a cancer diagnosis.
The benefit is paid directly to the employee and not in coordination with your health insurance. If an employee elects this voluntary insurance, when any insured family member is diagnosed with any type of internal cancer, and submits acceptable proof of diagnosis, payment is made directly to the employee.
- All regular full-time employees, effective the first day of the month after 30 days of continuous service
- All regular part-time employees (budgeted for at least 1,000 hours/year), effective the first of the month after 60 days of continuous service
- Coverage terminates on the employee's termination date
Rates are the same for part-time and full-time employees.
