The Media Lab is located in the south basement of Chambers. The lab is equipped with high-end, video/audio editing Windows based HP computers. Each station is licensed with the Adobe Creative Suite, which includes Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects, InDesign, and Audition. The Media Lab is supported by student staff during tutorial hours or by appointment.
Priority is given to students taking courses or independent studies toward an interdisciplinary minor in film and media studies or other courses incorporating multimedia projects and working collaboratively with instructional designers. Please email email@example.com to talk to an instructional designer about course/project work and to request student access. Students needing access to the Media Lab are required to attend training sessions, either as part of a course or by appointment.

Virtual Reality Labs
Davidson has two VR labs on campus. One lab can be found in the south basement of Chambers, while the other is found at The Hurt Hub@Davidson.
Virtual Reality Labs are used both in classes, and for independent student and faculty research projects. The equipment for these labs must be operated by someone with experience, so please contact email@example.com if you'd like to explore virtual reality at Davidson.
Studio M is Davidson's makerspace, a community-oriented workspace designed to encourage collaboration between people with common interests. As a part of the college's Innovation and Entrepreneurship initiative, the studio allows exploration and development of new technologies, invigorates intellectual inquiry by encouraging new modes of thought and learning, and sparks discussion and collaboration across conventional disciplines.
If you have a question about how to make a particular object, come talk with us. If you have a project in mind, we can help you develop it. Everything starts with a visit.
