I began working at the Alvarez College Union as the assistant director for operations in 1999.
I am responsible for managing the daily operations of the union and its services, including event support, coordination with Physical Plant for building maintenance and with Public Safety to ensure the union remains clean, safe, properly maintained, functional and inviting. I provide oversight of the ticket office, the information desk, the fitness center, bar operations, and our campus reservation system. I supervise over 50 student employees and love my daily interactions with them.
Prior to coming to Davidson, I served in the Army for 20 years as an artillery officer.
