Background

I taught courses in inorganic and analytical chemistry, and my research interests include synthetic chemistry and the chemical analysis of archaeological samples.

My interest in archaeological chemistry is expansive, including organic residue analysis of ancient shards, soil analysis in archaeological contexts, synthesis of polypyridine ligands and their transition metal complexes, photochemistry, and electrochemistry. I've taught advanced courses in experimental chemistry as well as General Chemistry and Chemistry of Art and Artifacts.
