Photo Essay: Game Day With Davidson Football

Davidson football plays its final game of the season Saturday when the Bulldogs of Butler University visit Richardson Stadium. Kick off from Stephen B. Smith Field is slated for 1 p.m., with a Senior Day ceremony to honor the class of 2019 set for 12:45 p.m.

In Head Coach Scott Abell's first season, the Wildcats made headlines with their explosive offense and attention-grabbing performances. The team reset the FCS rushing record for yards in a game with 789 in a 56-52 setback at 2018 PFL Champion San Diego, smashing their own record of 685 rush yards set earlier in the season in the marathon 91-61 victory over Guilford College.

The "New Era" has started to draw national attention—just this week, the 'Cats were featured in an article in USAToday.com.

In this photo essay, College Photographer Chris Record captures the game-day action from behind the scenes and on the sidelines at the Davidson-Stetson contest.
