Begin your immersive career exploration today.

Upon arrival at Davidson, students are encouraged to take advantage of the Matthews Center as they explore careers and grow personally and professionally.

We provide services, programs and opportunities that allow you to explore how your academic and personal interests relate to future professional opportunities, entrance into employment, internships, fellowships and graduate school programs; and success through on- and off-campus interview opportunities, employer information sessions and job and graduate school fairs.

Students are encouraged to visit and take advantage of the center beginning in their first year.

Career Planning Roadmap by Class Year

Career development is a journey that involves creating, developing and refining goals over time. The sooner you begin to focus on career development, the better prepared you will be to identify and pursue the opportunities available to you.

Our key programming, geared at students in every phase of their career journey, includes one-on-one advising and professionalization workshops as well as opportunities for immersive and experiential learning.

Student Resources

We encourage Davidson College students to explore these helpful resources in their career development journeys.

Experiential Learning Catalyst

Experiential learning integrates knowledge and theory learned in the classroom with practical application and skills development beyond the classroom. Catalyst is an initiative that centralizes resources for experiential learning opportunities including internships, education away, community-based learning and undergraduate research. Through Catalyst, Davidson students have ample access to grants, funding, one-on-one mentorship and other resources for pursuing their learning beyond the classroom.
