Our Stories, Our Selves: Ethical Communication in Medicine: Lecture by Award Winning Playwright Margaret Edson

Margaret Edson was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 1999 for her play Wit and an HBO film version starring Emma Thompson won an Emmy in 2001. Edson grew up in Washington, D,C., where she graduated from Sidwell Friends School and she earned a bachelor’s degree at Smith College and a master’s at Georgetown University. A brilliant and profound thinker and lively public speaker, she works as a middle-school teacher in Atlanta. 

 

This event is hosted by the Vann Center for Ethics and co-sponsored by the English and Theatre Departments. Free and open to the public; no ticket required.
