Eyewitnesses to History: East Germany Before the Fall of the Wall A conversation and discussion with eyewitnesses and experts:

  • Mario Röllig, victim of Stasi oppression and former prisoner of conscience in the GDR
  • Bob Weeks, Lt. Col. (ret.) U.S. Army, served in Berlin before and during the fall of the Wall
  • Helga Welsh, Professor of Political Science and International Affairs, Wake Forest University, expert on the GDR and contemporary German history and politics
  • Scott Denham, Charles A. Dana Professor of German Studies, Davidson College
  • Welcome by Klaus Becker, Honorary Consul for the Federal Republic of Germany
