No matter your major, upon graduation from Davidson you will enter a world of possibilities equipped with a deep appreciation for learning, the ability to solve problems creatively, the confidence to meet challenges head-on, and the desire to contribute to your community–both local and global. The Center for Career Development is here to help you turn your academic knowledge into a real-world career with a variety of resources to help you secure graduate degrees, internships and jobs.
Students are encouraged to visit and take advantage of the center beginning in their first year. We provide services, programs and opportunities that allow you to explore how your academic and personal interests relate to future professional opportunities; entrance into employment, internships, fellowships and graduate school programs; and success through on- and off-campus interview opportunities, employer information sessions, and job and graduate school fairs.
Davidson alumni are leaders in policy-making, business, education, medicine, law, science and technology, and public service. As active members of your communities, alumni can contribute to the education of our students by offering mentoring, internships, and job opportunities.
Employers are encouraged to engage with the college by posting jobs and internships to our exclusive Davidson WildcatLink job site, interviewing students on site, and participating in on-site career fairs and information sessions.
The center works with your student from his or her first year on campus and continues the relationship beyond graduation. By emphasizing internships and experiential learning opportunities as gateways to post-graduate success, families can support long-term thinking and goals. Families can contribute to the center by partnering with us to provide internships and mentoring opportunities.
