You can increase your knowledge and broaden the horizons of others by getting involved with Dean Rusk Global Corps. This student group is an integral part of the Dean Rusk International Studies Program and helps us increase campus awareness of international issues.
Global Corps plans international education and awareness programs on the Davidson campus as well as advises students on travel grant opportunities. We work to enhance Dean Rusk programming through theme weeks, cultural events, tea time discussions, a breakfast lecture series, multilingual gatherings, international photo contests and campus publications. The Corps receives annual funding from the Dean Rusk International Studies Program and also teams up with other student organizations to co-sponsor events related to raising awareness of international issues. To support travel grant research abroad, Global Corps also consists of a committee of Travel Grant Advisors that share their expertise in conducting research and creating meaningful experiences abroad. They are available to advise students on the application process and on ways to improve their chances of being awarded a travel grant.
The Dean Rusk Global Corps is for Davidson students who:
In addition, the Dean Rusk Program coordinates Davidson's chapter of the Phi Beta Delta Honor Society for international scholars. To apply, or to see if you qualify, please contact Meg Sawicki, Program Assistant.
