Economics at Davidson
Economics students learn skills in analysis, quantitative reasoning, writing, and oral expression, and they develop proficiency in using technical economic tools.
Our faculty members advise students in their choices of coursework, professional careers and graduate studies, and help them engage in real research and gain professional experience which then enhances our scholarship and teaching. Our faculty members and students also participate in public lectures and forums on economic issues.
We invite you to talk with our faculty and students to learn more about the Economics Department at Davidson. Please contact us at economics@davidson.edu with any questions or if you would like to plan to visit a class.
We consider such research experiences to be central to the learning process of our student-scholars. Economics research often leads to presentations at professional conferences or published works.
