Theatre Department

The Theatre Department is committed to fostering students' intellectual and artistic growth and opening their minds to new ways of thinking. As a theatre student, you will learn how to think critically and creatively about an important body of material and how to express your thoughts scholarly and artistically.

Theatre classes and productions are not limited to theatre majors; we encourage students of all majors to take classes and/or audition for productions.

The high quality of our performances and related public programs distinguishes Davidson in the community. Our faculty and student directors present theatre that matters–productions that have lasting effects on their audiences, casts, and crews well beyond performance nights.

Over the last decade, our productions have won several theatre awards from the Metrolina Theatre Association and Creative Loafing magazine. View our current production season.
