Children's Activities and Childcare

Bring your kids along! Reunion Weekend is structured with families in mind. There will be plenty of on-campus activities that will appeal to both children and teens.

Registering Children and Teens

Children and teens must be registered in order to be accounted for during the weekend. Be sure to note the Kids Activities options on the registration form, as well as the sign-up for Camp Reunion. While children and teens are welcome at most events throughout the weekend it is not encouraged to bring them to class dinners.

The following options are available on the registration form for children and teens:

Kids Package

For children and teens who will attend most or all of the events for the weekend we recommend purchasing a Kids Package. It includes most events with meals for the weekend (Friday Welcome Back Party, Saturday Breakfast, Saturday Picnic and Lawn Party and Sunday Farewell Brunch). It does not include the class dinner or Camp Reunion.

  • Ages 4-8, $30: Meals in this package include smaller portion sizes and a child-friendly menu.
  • Ages 9-14, $60: Meals in this package include the adult menu offerings.

Saturday Picnic and Lawn Party ONLY

This event is built with families in mind and is a great option for those looking to bring children and teens but not have them on campus all weekend.

  • Ages 4-8, $10: Lunch includes smaller portion sizes and a child-friendly menu. 
  • Ages 9-14, $15: Lunch includes the adult menu offerings.

Camp Reunion

For those with children and teens ages 4-14, we are pleased to offer event-specific childcare for Camp Reunion on Friday (6-10 p.m.) and Saturday (5:30-11 p.m.) evenings. Children and teens will be provided dinner and a variety of age-appropriate activities throughout the evening. If your child or teen has special dietary restrictions, you are more than welcome to pack a special dinner. If you would like your child or teen to participate, sign-up when you complete your Reunion Weekend registration. Pre-registration is encouraged in order to maintain a safe adult-to-child ratio. Keep this in mind when registering children and teens of different ages. We must group them based on age (4-6, 7-11, and teens) to maintain the ratio. We are unable to accommodate children who are under the age of four, or children who are not potty-trained. Walk-ins will be accommodated as space allows.

The price is $35 per child, per night. This includes dinner and snacks. Friday will be on campus and include a pizza dinner, and Saturday will be at the DCPC Congregation House (across from campus) and will include chicken nuggets for dinner. Both dinners will come with drinks, fruit and other snacks. Movies will be PG. Limited space is available.


A list of recommended Davidson community members will be available to alumni interested in hiring a babysitter during Reunion Weekend. To request a list, please email closer to Reunion Weekend. All questions regarding scheduling, availability and payment should be made directly with the babysitter. Please note the college does not provide training or supervision of the babysitters nor has it performed background checks on the babysitters listed.

Special Note

Davidson does not own any equipment or materials for children such as high chairs, cribs and diapers. Please make arrangements for anything you may need prior to your arrival. Email us at if you have questions.
