My research focuses on applications of machine learning to improve education technologies. In particular, the use of large language models and deep reinforcement learning to build models for automatic grading and feedback to students regarding short written responses. I am also generally interested in applied statistics and behavioral measurement. In my free time, I enjoy trail running, lifting weights, and eating pizza.
