Student Organizations

Interfaith student groupDavidson College has a variety of student-led organizations representing many religious traditions. Each group develops its own programming which contributes to the diverse spiritual and cultural life on campus. All of these groups are supported by campus ministers or advisers from local congregations, faith-based organizations or the college community.

Better Together

Through Better Together, students from all faiths and philosophical traditions join together to learn from each other through festivals, lectures and visits to houses of worship. We also engage in meaningful dialogue across traditions, participate in community service, and promote spiritual and religious diversity on campus in a spirit of mutual understanding and respect.

Campus Outreach

Campus Outreach trains future leaders and equips them for leadership through evangelism, discipleship, prayer, and Bible study.

Canterbury Episcopal Fellowship

Canterbury fosters community spirit through worship, meals, and fellowship. The group encourages students to explore their faith through service, common prayer, and inquiry.

Catholic Campus Ministry

CCM strengthens students' Catholic life and identity through weekly on-campus Mass, fellowship meals, faith-based sharing groups, and retreats.

Catholic Campus Minister: Associate Chaplain Karen Soos (

Davidson Dharma

Davidson Dharma is an organization for students who practice or are exploring Buddhism. We gather weekly for meditation and to engage in discussion of texts and teachings from a variety of Buddhist traditions.

Davidson Wesley Campus Ministry

Davidson Wesley Campus Ministry meets weekly to share meals, study scripture, explore theological questions, pray, and cultivate intentional and genuine Christian community. We also join together for social outings, service projects, retreats, worship opportunities, and mission trips. Davidson Wesley is a campus ministry of the United Methodist Church and welcomes all.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes 

FCA equips, empowers, and encourages athletes, coaches, and all whom they impact to make a difference for Christ.

Hillel is  an open-minded student-led organization that celebrates the diversity of Jewish lives, experiences, and cultures and encourages students to engage in meaningful Jewish experiences. We foster a community of inclusivity in which individuals can explore and celebrate their Jewish identity through connections with other students, faculty, staff, and the local community.

InterVarsity Christian Fellowship

The InterVarsity Christian Fellowship group aims to build a community of witnesses that engage the ethnically and culturally diverse campus community with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. InterVarsity plans weekly small-group Bible studies, community gatherings, speakers, service opportunities, retreats and regional conferences that are open to all students.

Mindfulness Community

Mindfulness Community is a group for students, staff, faculty, and community members seeking to incorporate mindfulness practices into daily life. Our gatherings include beginning meditation instruction as well as reflection on purpose, intention, and presence.

Mormon Student Group

The Mormon Student Group provides an opportunity for LDS students to gather weekly for fellowship and discussion of their faith.

Muslim Student Association (MSA)

The MSA helps Muslim students find their place in the college environment. The group celebrates Muslim holidays, organizes events, and promotes peace and cooperation with all other religious groups on campus.

Orthodox Christian Fellowship

Eastern Orthodox students gather regularly on campus with a priest from St. Luke Greek Orthodox Church for fellowship and reflection on life and faith in the Orthodox tradition.

Orthodox Campus Minister: Fr. Stephen Lawrence (

Reformed University Fellowship 

The Reformed University Fellowship equips students to live all of life under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. It sponsors Bible studies, dinner discussions, and other small groups and one-on-one relationships.

PCA Campus Minister: Rev. Sid Druen (


UKirk is the welcoming and inclusive campus ministry group of the Presbyterian Church (USA) and Davidson College Presbyterian Church. The group gathers weekly for fellowship, discussion, and Bible study, and plans speakers, retreats, and service projects. It is a safe space for all questions, and students of any and all backgrounds and identities are welcome. UKirk at Davidson is a part of the UKirk network of campus ministries in the PC (USA).

Virtuous Praise Gospel Choir

Virtuous Praise is the College Gospel Choir that seeks to encourage and uplift the Davidson community through song and to minister the Gospel to those who hear our voices. Virtuous Praise is a space for Davidson students to support one another within the Christian faith through song and conversation.

Young Life College

YLC is an outreach ministry to Davidson College students whose hope is to introduce students to the person of Jesus Christ and help them grow in their faith through group events, small groups, and discipleship. Students can also train and become volunteer Young Life leaders to area high school students through Lake Norman Young Life.
