The Dean Rusk International Studies Program is very pleased to welcome Yao-Hua Law to campus on November 19th to deliver the Pulitzer Lecture: "The Drivers of Deforestation: Reporting on People, Plants, and Animals in Malaysia,"
Yao-Hua Law is an award-winning science journalist from Malaysia who blends narrative writing with data analysis to bring environmental issues to a wider audience. He co-founded Macaranga Media in 2019, Malaysia's only environmental newsroom, that works at building environmental journalism in the country. His work has been honored by several awards from the Malaysian Press Institute as well as the Sigma Award in 2023 and the One World Media Prize in 2020. Currently he is a Nieman Fellow at Harvard University.
