Diversity, Equity, Inclusion
Davidson College believes fundamentally in the dignity and worth of every human being, and we are committed to assisting students in developing humane instincts and disciplined and creative minds for lives of leadership and service. Cultivating a broadly diverse community is crucial to our educational mission and purpose.
Student Diversity and Inclusion
The Center for Student Diversity and Inclusion fosters an inclusive and welcoming environment on campus for systemically underrepresented student populations at Davidson. We provide direct support services, educational programming and community building opportunities within and across social groups.
Diversity and Inclusion at Davidson
Davidson seeks out applications from talented faculty, staff and students from diverse cultures, ethnicities, races, religions, sexual orientations, gender identities, ages, national origins, socio-economic backgrounds, and abilities.
Our policies do not discriminate based on race, color, gender, national origin, religion, age, sexual orientation, or disability. We welcome and strive to foster mutual respect among all members of our community.
If you have any questions or for more information, please contact Fuji Lozada (erlozada@davidson.edu).
The Commission on Race and Slavery
In keeping with Davidson's commitment to the quest for truth, the college appointed a Commission on Race and Slavery to examine the college’s history, which is intertwined with the institution and legacies of slavery and the lives of enslaved persons.

The Power of Education & Philanthropy
In addition to current areas of giving, we have launched a campaign to support students and antiracism at Davidson. Specifically, we are asking for your support of the Africana Studies Department, the Emergence Scholarship, the STRIDE Program and the Black Student Coalition.
