Otts Lecture - David W. Blight, Yale University

The Religious Studies Department will host the 2019 Otts Lecturer, Professor David W. Blight, Yale University: "By the Rivers of Babylon: Frederick Douglass's Biblical World View."   

Dr. Blight works in many capacities in the world of public history, including on boards of museums and historical societies, and as a member of a small team of advisors to the 9/11 Memorial and Museum team of curators. The Otts Lecture series was established in 1893 by J.M.P. Otts, D.D., LL.D., a distinguished alumnus of Davidson. Learn more about Dr. Blight.
