Endia Beal is known for her photographic imagery and video installations often exploring the relationships of women of color within the corporate space, as based on her own experiences. She earned a dual BA in Art History and Studio Art with a concentration in Photography from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her MFA in Photography from Yale University School of Art. Previously, Beal served as Gallery Director and Curator at Diggs Gallery at Winston-Salem State University.

 

From 2021-2023, Beal was a Practitioner-in-Residence at the Van Every/Smith Galleries at Davidson College, resulting in the commissioned portrait series, “Spaces of Comfort.” Learn more about this project and Beal’s other recent photographic and video projects.
