Join us at the Wall North Lawn, in the green space between the E. Craig Wall Jr. Academic Center and the Sculpture Garden, in an honoring of resilience and remembrance, peace and unity, as we come together to plant the descendants of Japanese A-bomb Survivor Trees on the Davidson College Campus. Learn more about the project and partnerships, participate in sapling planting, and enjoy music, paper crane making, and refreshments. In the case of inclement weather, the location will be moved to the Library Lobby Fishbowl Classroom. Hosted by Jamie Moore, Director of Grounds, Kristi Multhaup, Vail Professor of Psychology, Shelley Rigger, VPAA and Brown Professor of Asian Politics, Susana Wadgymar, and Keiser Assistant Professor of Biology. With support from The Japanese Students Association Tara Villa Keith, Chair and Professor of Music and Symphony Orchestra Director, E.H. Little Library, and Sherry Nelson, Director of Davidson Arts and Creative Engagement.
