Carmen Bradford is one of the great traditional big band singers of our time. Her biography includes performances and collaborations with virtually every major name in jazz performance. A third-generation jazz musician, whose mother and grandfather were also acclaimed jazz singers, she sang full-time with the Count Basie Orchestra for a decade, and she continues to sing and record with the Basie Orchestra today. The recent Grammy-nominated album, “All About That Basie,” featured her along with Stevie Wonder, Kurt Elling, and many other notable names. Her current project is in recreating the music of Ella Fitzgerald with big bands and symphonies.
