Minyoung Kim Korean poetry translation reading
Minyoung Kim '26 will read from her translations of Chong Jiyong's poetry, which will form the core of her honors thesis in literary translation for her major in Global Literary Theory. This reading and discussion satisfies the fall-semester colloquium requirement for year-long theses through the Center for Interdiscipliary Studies.

Chong Jiyong (often romanized as Jeong Jiyong; 1902-1950) is considered the most important poet in the Korean modernist movement. Kimmy's thesis work is being advised by Professors Jack Jung, Amanda Ewington, and Scott Denham.
