 The talk explores Safaricom’s parsimonious labor regime, tracking how the knowledge, work, and strategies of M-Pesa agents have become firmly attached to the infrastructures of the corporation in Kenya. Emma Park is Associate Professor of History at the New School for Social Research in New York. Her book "Infrastructural Attachments" came out with Duke University Press in 2024.
