Where is the transatlantic relationship now? US-German relations in a time of disruption: A Left Perspective

Stefan Liebich served in the German parliament, the Bundestag, for the Left Party, Die Linke, from 2009 until 2021. He now directs the Left Party’s foundation and think tank office in North America, the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation in New York. During his tenure in the Bundestag, Stefan Liebich was known to seek collaboration and consensus beyond party lines.

At Davidson, he will give a public lecture informed by his role as a representative of the left the transatlantic context, in a time when the US-German transatlantic relationship is under attack from the extremist right in both the US and in Germany.
