About the Program: This program is fully funded for participants through the Weinstein International Investigation fund that supports DRI-Group Investigations. Our group investigation to Paris, France will research the intersecting issues of immigration, policing, and race in contemporary France. The program will include visits to museums and archives that provide students with foundational knowledge of the history and structure of important French institutions, policies, and practices related to these issues. These visits will then be elaborated and challenged through conversations with key contemporary figures working on issues of immigration, policing, and race in France.

Application Deadline: February 1, 2022, 11:59 pm ET. Apply at https://bit.ly/3m3Y9Lk

Student Selection Criteria: The strength of the applicant’s individual research project related to the investigation themes. Students from any major are welcome to apply. Knowledge of French is not required. Priority will be given to students who have not studied abroad previously. Interested students must also apply for an individual Dean Rusk Summer Research Grant to be considered. Must be currently enrolled during trip, therefore graduating seniors (May 2022) are not eligible.
