Traditional Series: John McCutcheon

Few living musicians have had as great an influence on the ongoing life of American folk music as John McCutcheon. A six-time Grammy nominee, he has recorded 45 albums, including his compositions and those of others in the folk community, and is a virtuoso on the hammer dulcimer. Throughout his long career, he has continued to speak to the issues of our times, as exemplified by “Springfield, Ohio,” co-written with Tom Paxton.
