Traditional Series: Sheila Kay Adams
Few people embody the living traditions of the North Carolina mountains quite like Sheila Kay Adams. A seventh-generation ballad singer from Madison County, Sheila is also a wonderful clawhammer banjo player and an incomparable storyteller. This return visit will be an intimate conversation and life retrospective filled with songs, stories, memories, laughter, and a lifetime spent carrying Appalachian traditions forward.
