Acquisitions and Metadata Specialist

A Typical Day at the Library

The main function of my role on the Collections Strategies team is to oversee the procurement and processing of materials for the Library Collection. My typical day starts out at the Library Annex, with reviewing the latest purchase requests for new items from students and faculty. I work through the entire acquisitions process from searching for, purchasing, and cataloging books so they are ready for the shelves and to be checked out by you. As the newest members of the team, I am also working on exploring campus and programs to meet various faculty and students. I look forward to growing the Library Collection to meet the diverse community needs here at Davidson!
