"I chose Davidson for the people. After going on a tour where by the end the guide had 10 friends tagging along I was overwhelmed by the welcoming community. It was so clear to me that the friends I would make here would both push me academically and be lifelong best friends who have genuine fun. Likewise, I felt the faculty at Davidson was so passionate about their academia which shined through courses and their drive for a genuine connection that opened up opportunities for me both in and out of the classroom. I felt this strong connection to my community Day 1 at Davidson and now as a sophomore have been immensely supported by the people I have met here."
Advice to Prospective Students
I would recommend going outside of your comfort zone and not being afraid to embarrass yourself. I spend everyday waving at new people hoping to make friends or just starting a conversation with someone in class. Everyone at Davidson is looking to meet new people to strengthen the Davidson community.
Experiential Opportunity
